My Story

I graduated from San Jose City College Cosmetology in June 2001.

In September 2001 I got hired at FAUX SALON in Downtown Campbell, California.
FAUX SALON is a high end salon where I was an assistant to a couple hairstylist, then graduated to my own chair and became an independant Hairstylist myself.

During my time there I was able to attend classes at VIDAL SASSOON, BUMBLE and BUMBLE, and was certified to teach JOICO COLOR.

While going to school I worked at a variety of BARBER SHOPS in Berkeley, El Cerrito, SF Embarcadero & San Rafael. At these Shops I was able to refine my clipper and short haircut skills.

In 2012 I moved back home to San Jose, Ca. I was able to workIn 2012 I moved back home to San Jose, Ca. I was able to work in ‘TRANQUILITY DAY SPA AND HAIR SALON’. This Salon/Spa gave me the opportunity to work on facial waving, brazilian blow outs and babe tape-in extensions.

Different from Faux in that it was catering to longer more normal looking hair.

At this time I also worked at ON-SITE HAIRCUTS which was a company that took hairstylist onsite to all the Major Tech Companies (Google, Yahoo, Facebook, Youtube, Linkedln, ect) in the Bay Area to cut hair..mostly professional men’s haircuts.

2012-2020

During COVID I moved out of state to a really small town near Santa Fe, New Mexico-
In August 2025 I will be back home in San Jose, Califoria.

I love beauty and I love people, thru my exploring of different types of salons, any doubts I had that this career wasn’t for me (I started sooo young) are long gone.
The work is interesting to me bacause of the different people and their hair, always a challenge. I love it.
